At the Apartment Association of New Mexico, we believe our impact extends far beyond the communities we manage. Every day, our members provide safe, quality housing for thousands of New Mexicans, but they also invest their time, resources, and hearts into strengthening the communities they call home.

That commitment was on full display on June 4th, when AANM hosted its annual Charity Golf Tournament as part of our growing #AANMCares initiative.

Each year, the tournament supports a different local nonprofit organization making a meaningful difference throughout New Mexico. This year, AANM proudly selected the Breaking Barriers Youth Sports Foundation as our charitable partner.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our tournament sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters, we are proud to announce that $16,000 was raised to support the Foundation's mission of creating opportunities for young people through sports, mentorship, and community engagement.

On July 15th, AANM had the privilege of presenting a $16,000 donation to the organization's founder. It was a meaningful moment that reflected what can be accomplished when New Mexico's rental housing industry comes together in support of a common cause.

The annual Charity Golf Tournament is more than just a day on the course. It is a reminder that the apartment industry is made up of individuals and companies who care deeply about the communities where they live, work, and invest. Through #AANMCares, we are committed to highlighting the positive impact our members make every day through charitable giving, volunteerism, housing initiatives, educational programs, or community partnerships.

We often hear conversations about the rental housing industry centered on buildings and regulations. While those discussions are important, they tell only part of the story. Behind every apartment community are professionals who coach youth sports, volunteer with local nonprofits, sponsor community events, support families in need, and work to improve the quality of life across New Mexico.
