What is an Independent Rental Owner (IRO)?
NAA defines an Independent Rental Owner (IRO) as an individual or individuals who own or manage rental properties, and are actively involved from an ownership perspective, in the management of their properties. While these owners can own/manage large numbers of units, they typically do not have more than 100 units in a single community.
The Rental Forms Center allows you to purchase a variety of rental forms online with a credit card, for one-time use. Enter resident data such as name, rent amount, and deposits, and the system will generate a filled PDF form for you to download, email, or print. Any calculations are made automatically and data is stored for use the next time you purchase a form.

The applicant purchases and shares the report online. It is a soft credit inquiry and no site inspection is required.

AANM Membership is calculated based on the number of units you own and/or manage. Most of our IRO members have less than 100 total units, which case the base fee is $100 and the per unit fee is either $8/unit (for 0-50 units) or $7/unit (for 51-200 units). Many of our IRO members have properties in several separate locations. The total units for all locations are added up to calculate the proper per unit fee.
