4,200 APARTMENTS NEEDED IN ALBUQUERQUE BY 2035
On October 12, the Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA) issued a comprehensive report on the state of local multifamily housing. It was estimated that the greater Albuquerque region needs 4,200 new apartment units constructed by 2035. They also noted, this is compounded by the fact that 84% of the current rental units in Albuquerque were built before the year 2000.
