Committees are open to all members of AANM from Property Staff, yes
even Maintenance Technicians and Housekeepers, and Property Supervisors
to Business Owners and their staffs.
Membership Council: This committee is comprised of both
Primary and Associate Members. Its mission is to encourage more
interaction and involvement among Members and determines the focus of
each year’s Membership Drive. Meetings are monthly on the first
Wednesday from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. Co-Chairs: Allan Paiz &
Michele Marquez. Bd. Members: Harold Kinney & Vanessa Pino.
Holiday Dinner / Tributes Awards Committee: AANM
alternates a December Holiday Dinner annually with a December Tributes
Award. In 2008, the committee will plan for the Holiday Dinner that will
be a Can-Can Ball, focusing on a food drive with Roadrunner Food Bank.
The event is scheduled on Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Marriott
Pyramid Hotel. The committee will also be involved in planning the
alternating Tributes Awards Banquet, which is scheduled to take place in
December 2009. The first meeting for the Holiday Dinner will be sometime
in May 2008. Meetings will be monthly, Thursdays from 4:00PM-5:00PM
initially and will change to bi-weekly then weekly as the event
approaches from May 2008 through December 2008. Co-Chairs:

Education Committee: The Education Committee determines
AANM’s educational programs, including topics and speakers for the lunch
meetings, educational seminars and conferences and, coordinates national
certification programs. Meetings are monthly on the second Tuesday from
8:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Co-Chairs: Michele Marquez & Jackie Ledon
Maintenance Mania Committee: This committee will plan
the Third Annual Maintenance Mania event that is scheduled on Thursday,
February 21, 2008 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The first
committee meeting for the event will be on Friday, December 21, 2007, at
8:30 AM. Meetings will be held weekly on Thursday’s from 8:30 AM – 9:30
AM. Chair: Lew Baker, Bd. Member: Harold Kinney
Golf Tournament: This committee will plan AANM’s 7th
Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled on Friday, June 6, 2008. at the Santa
Ana Golf Club The committee will meet every other week, initially
beginning in March and then go weekly as the event approaches on
Wednesday’s from 12-:00 PM-1:00 PM. Co-Chairs: Cyndi King,
Raymond Aldarete & Terri Brown.
Government & Community Affairs: This committee is
responsible for reviewing and developing legislation and community
relations that affect the multi-housing industry within the State of New
Mexico and at the local level. Meetings will be monthly on the third
Tuesday of the month from 4 PM-5 PM. Co-Chairs: Gene Vance &
Sandy Salata. Bd. Members: Carol Pavlides & Jeanette Vandekamp.
Marketing & Communications Committee: This committee
designs and produces the marketing and communications program for AANM.
All other meetings will be monthly on the second Wednesday from 8:45 AM
– 10:00 AM. Co- Chairs: James Velasquez & Carol Pavlides. Bd.

Trade Show & Education Expo: This committee will
develop and implement AANM’s 25th Annual Trade Show, “Around the World
in Eight Hours,” scheduled on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the
Albuquerque Convention Center. Members must be willing to help at the
show. Meetings are bi-weekly initially, then weekly as the event
approaches. This committee meets on Friday mornings from 8:45 AM-10 AM.
