Everyone working on property who participates in income collection and/or purchasing, should understand the importance of maintaining a budget to increase income and keep expenses down.  This budgeting class is for everyone onsite who has a hand in these activities to attend, from the managers and assistant managers to the maintenance department.  Maintenance expenses are among the largest controllable elements of the property’s operating budget, so it is vital for the maintenance team and the office team to communicate effectively and plan together.  This seminar will cover the office team portion from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a break for lunch.  Maintenance team will arrive at 12:00 PM for a one hour solo session to cover general budgeting and purchasing guidelines.  The rest of the afternoon from       1:00 PM – 4:00 PM will continue for both office and maintenance attendees to prepare actual budgets for maintenance related categories and capital expenditures.

AANM is an approved provider of the CPO Certification for the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico. These classes are taught by Darrel Bone, a former Environmental Health Supervisor for the Consumer Protection division of the Environmental Health Department.  Mr. Bone will guide students through a study and review of the information needed to pass the Pool Certification Exam and will proctor the exam.

This seminar will present all of the information needed to take the test to obtain the EPA/CFC Certification.  A minimum of at least a month of prior study the EPA/CFC study guide is recommended as statistics have shown that individuals who have not studied prior to the class have done poorly on the exam.  Plan ahead and get registered early enough to insure course materials can be mailed and/or picked up in advance.
